People, HR & Talent
HR Policies & Procedures
Course codeHRM-HRM-009
Duration5 days
LanguageEnglish or Arabic
Subject areaPeople, HR & Talent
Overview
Clear HR policies protect both the organisation and its employees. Without them, managers make inconsistent decisions, similar cases are treated differently and small issues turn into grievances or legal disputes. Many organisations have policies that are outdated, written in unclear legal language or simply not known by the managers who are expected to apply them, which creates risk and undermines trust.
This course shows how to draft, review and implement HR policies and procedures that are lawful, practical and easy to use. Participants work through core policies, from recruitment, leave and performance to conduct, discipline and grievances, and practise writing in plain language. They also plan approval, communication and manager training, and learn how to audit compliance and keep policies up to date.
Who should attend
HR managers and officers, HR policy and compliance specialists, legal affairs staff, and managers in ministries, public bodies and companies responsible for people management.
Training methodology
Interactive presentations, practical exercises, case studies, group discussions, role-plays where relevant, and a personal action plan that participants apply in their own work.
